Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Overview
You can request deletion of your Swayne account data and any data associated with your connected Instagram account. This page explains how to make that request and exactly what it covers.
How to Request Deletion
Deletion isn’t yet a self-service action inside the product — send us a request by email and we’ll process it. Email support@swayne.app with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.
Please include in your email:
- The email address associated with your Swayne account
- Your Instagram username, if your request relates to a connected Instagram account
Never include your password or any access token in a deletion request. We will never ask you for either, and don’t need them to process your request.
What a Deletion Request Covers
Once verified, a deletion request removes, where applicable:
- Your Swayne account and profile information
- Stored metadata for your connected Instagram account
- Imported Instagram media metadata (captions, media type, timestamps, and similar fields)
- Stored performance and insight data generated from your content
- Stored creative-analysis data associated with your account
Disconnecting vs. Deleting
Disconnecting your Instagram account from Settings is immediate and stops future synchronization: it revokes Swayne’s access and deletes the stored access credentials, so Swayne can no longer read anything new from that account.
Disconnecting by itself does not necessarily delete the historical data Swayne has already imported and stored. If you want that history, or your entire Swayne account, deleted as well, send us an explicit deletion request using the instructions above.
Processing Time
We process deletion requests as promptly as we reasonably can after verifying the request. We don’t currently commit to a fixed deadline for every request. Some information may take a short additional time to clear from backups and logs before it is fully gone from our systems.
Data Held by Meta / Instagram
This page covers data stored and processed by Swayne. Meta and Instagram retain their own copies of your account and activity data under their own policies, independent of Swayne. To manage or delete data Meta holds directly, use Meta’s own account and privacy settings.
